Our Engineers have extensive knowledge through vibrant collaborated careers displaying extensive knowledge of MEP engineering and current and evolving design software platforms.

Our team members are professional, productive, and able to create sustainable ideas only ever generating quality work.

Brian Small

Skills: Holistic Design approach, Sustainable Design, a broad range of experience across multiple sectors.

Project Involvement: Project leader and lead mechanical engineer. Sustainability Engineer.

Career to Date: Over 20 years in the construction industry working initially for a large multi-disciplinary practice and then a specialist MEP consultant, before co-founding Oscar MEP.

Personal Statement: I thrive on broadening my knowledge of construction and finding new and more efficient ways to integrate M&E services into building designs.

Outside of Work: Spending quality time with family. If I’m not kept busy with my wife and three daughters, I can be found playing tennis or building something in the garage.

Adam Brown

Adam Brown

Skills: Multidisciplinary knowledge, Detailing & coordination; in depth knowledge of installation methods.

Project Involvement: Project leader and lead electrical engineer.

Career to Date: Trained as an electrician before moving to design engineering. Worked at practices to associate level before co-founding Oscar MEP in 2018. Over 20 years in the construction industry working initially at site level before moving to a large multi-disciplinary practice followed by a period with a specialist MEP consultant. Co-founding Oscar MEP.

Personal Statement: I consider myself to be very approachable and pride myself on my practical approach, I like to solve a problem and thrive on multidisciplinary detailed coordination.

Outside of Work: A keen runner and loves to keep in shape. Has also served in the military as an army reservist. I like nothing better than spending time with my family and cooking.

Gary Draper

Skills: As founder of a leading building services consultancy, Gary has over 3 decades of experience in MEP design, facilities management, and strategic business leadership along with a proven track record of delivering innovative and cost-effective solutions across all real estate sectors, supporting clients with strategic guidance on complex MEP systems

Project Involvement: As Chairman and formerly Group Managing Director, Gary led the growth and integration of multiple business units. He brings his wealth of industry and business experience to bear at Oscar MEP, guiding strategy and promoting the company through business development activities.

Dan CURZON

Drafting Manager

Dan Curzon

Skills: MEP Coordination & BIM Execution 2D & 3D Federated modelling

Project Involvement: Dan is in command of Oscar Drafting. Responsible for delivering internal drafting projects and delivering assignments for Oscar clients.

Career to Date: Before joining Oscar MEP Ltd and creating the drafting arm of the business, Dan trained as an AutoCAD Draftsmen at Hilton Moran on to BIM Level 2 3D coordination using Revit MEP

Personal Statement: I am a diligent hard-working individual who is no stranger to a challenge. I believe no problem is insurmountable, there are only solutions.

Outside of Work: I love to cook and enjoy going to the gym and playing guitar.

Electrical Engineer

Ryan Groves

Skills: Electrical Design and CAD drafting

Project Involvement: Operating with Adam developing his knowledge first hand and increasing his project experience as a Junior Electrical Design Engineer

Career to Date: Starting out in Junior role Ryan can develop his passion for Electrical design with the best foundation. Steadily increasing his skill set and expertise in projects collaborating with the director he is excited to build his career.

Ryan has a great eye for detail making his pathway into design seamless. He previously worked for Rolex as a Quality Control Technician requiring sharp attentiveness and meticulous skills, in which, Ryan has integrated into his design role perfectly.

Personal Statement: I am a keen, determined person, career focused and enthusiastic about my progression in this industry.
Starting my next stage of career development, I am enrolling in College in September 2023 to study HNC Building Services Engineering broadening my knowledge and enriching the company’s joint expertise.

Outside of Work: I enjoy visiting the gym in my free time and working with my brother on our new personal business ventures.

Being an innovative person, I use my skills within 3D design software to create 3D models on my 3D printer.

Career to Date: Military, Finance, Architectural Design FD and Engineering support

Personal Statement: I am an organised and practical individual who enjoys working under pressure in a team environment.

Outside of Work: I am part of a large family, of whom I spend a lot of time with, have two very sporty little boys and a young Belgium Malinois making life very entertaining!
